Huawei
The company was
founded in 1987 by Ren Cheng Fei . Initially, Huawei's focus was on
manufacturing panels and telephone exchanges , and later expanded
its business to include building telecommunications networks,
providing operational and consulting services and equipment to
enterprises inside and outside China, and manufacturing
communications devices for the consumer market. Huawei had more than
170,000 employees as of September 2017 , about 76,000 of them
working in research and development (research and development) . It
has 21 research and development institutes worldwide. As of 2017 ,
the company has invested $ 13.8 billion in research and development.
